In UTME, please note that English Language is Compulsory for this course. Therefore, the three (3) other JAMB UTME subject combination needed to study Common law and Islamic Law under the Faculty of Law in the above Universities include;

The O'level subject combination and requirements needed to study Common law and Islamic Law are as follows:
You require;
Five ‘O’ level credit passes in Arts to include English Language and Islamic Studies or Arabic.
SPECIAL CONSIDERATION REMARKS
1. UNILORIN requires'O' level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Islamic Studies or Arabic and any other two (2) subjects in Arts. (Civic Education / Government / History).
Cut off mark is 220 above.
3. BUK
requires Islamic Studies/Arabic and Literature-in-English for Common and Islamic Law.
Cut off mark is 220 above.
4. UNIMAID
requires Arabic or Islamic studies and any other two (2)Arts subjects(Government and Literature in English is compulsory)

What are the direct Entry Requirements?
:
1. Candidates should have at least 5 ‘O’ Level Credits in Arts or Commercial subjects including English Language, Literature in English and Mathematics; and including a Credit in Arabic or Islamic Studies for LL.B. (Hons) Common law and Islamic Law Candidates.
2. Candidates should have at least 2 ‘A’ Level Credit in Arts or Commercial Subjects or.
3. Diploma in Law (Upper Credit) from recognised Institution or.
4. A First degree from recognised Universities.
