Islamic ruling on sultan decision by Muhammad Awwal

As Salaam Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh. (May Allah's Peace, Mercy and Blessings be upon all of us)
In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His Forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is none worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (S.A.W) is His Slave, Servant and the seal of Prophethood.
The Glorious Quran was revealed to guide mankind to the Straight Path that leads to His Mercy and His Forgiveness. Thus, absolutely everything which relates to guidance to the Straight Path is detailed and finds mention in the Glorious Quran.
The Prophet of Allah {S.A.W} went further to simplify the teaching of Islam, in Islam no stone is left untouched.
Allah {S.W.T} has chosen His Eminence Alhaji Muhammad Sa'ad Abubakar as Sultan of Sokoto and the President General, Nigeria Supreme council for Islamic Affairs, as such we are bound to follow his ruling.
Assuming but not conceding, that the Sultan was wrong to have said the Eid celebration is on Sunday, we will not be punish because of the aforementioned reason.
I need not to remind us about the importance/benefits of Fasting. Having fasted for 29days, additional day is not a big deal.
The issue of whether today's Fasting has been declared by the Sultan of Sokoto is base on the principal of Shari'a?
I answer the above in affirmative and urge us to so hold.
An-Nisa' 4:59
O you who have believed, obey Allah and obey the Messenger and those in authority among you. And if you disagree over anything, refer it to Allah and the Messenger, if you should believe in Allah and the Last Day. That is the best [way] and best in result.

The word IMĀM in this narrative refers to the successors and representatives of the Messenger who, along with his administrators etc, form the group termed UL AL.AMR (the rulers) by the Holy Qur'ān. This is the tool through which the Islamic state achieves all its goals and ends including matters of interpreting divine commands, performing ijtihād in the process of the formation of law, in implementing the laws in the land and maintaining justice and law and order in the country.
It has been narrated on the authority of Abu Huraira that the Holy prophet (may peace be upon him) said: *"Whoso obeys me obeys God, and whoso disobeys me disobeys God. Whoso obeys the commander (appointed by me) obeys me, and whoso disobeys the commander disobeys me"*.
Personally I follow Saudi's declarations on many subject matters not because of the it's harbour epitome of Divine knowledge and wisdom but rather the Qur'an and The Sunnah of Prophet (S.A.W) has clearly established the principal of obedience to our Leaders.

  3. I really appreciate this kind of enlightment but I heard that he was informed concerning the sighting of the moon by some people, he refused to confirm it saying that he can't change his decision after he already declare.
    Is this not against Islam?
